Since I know Christians often live by that motto of "Ignorance is
Strength" (to quote Orwell), and don't ask themselves the hard
questions, I'm bringing this question to the fore,
"Will Christians who kill in battle be saved?"
I say, you may find yourself locked out of Heaven --and cooking in hot
oil. Pun intended, not cooking oil, but "oil" like in Iraq. If I were
you, I'd even tear off those bumper stickers that say, "We support our
troops." Just to be safe... ;)

As I understand it, in the Protestant tradition at least, the sole
criteria for being saved is holding belief in Jesus Christ as ones
Lord and Saviour.
As as been frequently observed, "Christans aren't perfect, they're
'just' forgiven".
Which presumably gave rise to the phrase "love God and do what you
like".
