Why sound needs a medium to travel and light not?

Both are waves then who do Sound waves need a medium to travel while
Light & EM do not need any medium to travel?

And why Sound travels so slow I heard just 343 m / sec

Is Sound speed a constant too?

Can we increase the speed of Sound wave to 300,000 km/Sec. Incase we
do that will it convert into light?

Different kinds of momentum transfer.

Both are partricle-motion based too. The choice of model simply
describes the math involved, and how much answer you get per "CPU
cycle".

In my worldview, the Universe is its medium.

Different media, different speeds. Water is much higher (~1500 m/
sec), steel is higher yet (~5000 m/sec).

Because sound is vibrations in a medium.

Prior to the 20th century many physicists said that EM waves (light)
needed a medium too---the "luminiferous ether". Now, as far as we
know, there is no luminiferous ether and light needs NO medium. As to
why sound needs a medium: well, that is just the definition of sound!

Look at the equations that lead up to the wave equation for sound. The
speed of sound is a combination of various parameters involving the
carrying medium. Look at it another way: sound is a pressure wave. The
changes in pressure are conveyed to neighbouring regions by the actual
motion of molecules, so the speed of sound is governed, at least in
part, by the speeds of molecules as they giggle around in the air (or
water, or steel, or earth, or whatever).

Sound needs a medium because it is a real wave and it needs the medium
to transfer momentum. Light is not the same kind of wave. Some people
call it a wavicle (or did when I was in school). It does not need a
medium because it is made of photons, physical objects having mass
which can travel through a vacuum.
> And why Sound travels so slow I heard just 343 m / sec
There is no why, that just happens to be its speed in air.
> Is Sound speed a constant too?
It is in air of a given temperature and pressure. It travels much
faster through water or the ground.

No we can't.

You need to figure out how the propagate. They are very different types of
wave. Does a wave on the sea need a medium to travel in?
> And why Sound travels so slow I heard just 343 m / sec
> Is Sound speed a constant too?

No. The speed of sound depends on the medium that the sound is travelling
through. It's much faster in steel or water than it is in air.
> Can we increase the speed of Sound wave to 300,000 km/Sec.

No. .. but some people have speculated that in the early universe sound may
have travelled faster than light.

no.

[snip spammed crap]

Why kites need a medium to travel and bullets not?

Good Analogy !!!

Because Kites uses Aerodynamics to fly in air. It uses Air Lift to
rise high. Bullets travel using the Kinetic Energy possesed by it.

Does Light has a Kinetic Energy that make it fly without the need of
any Medium?

ElectroMagnetic radiation and sound waves are two different things.

ElectroMagnetic radiation and sound waves are two different things.
Some aspects of a photon are merely statistical ( semi-random ), while
other aspects can be modeled as an endless 4-D ElectroMagnetic field.

Gravity is also an ( imponderable ) 4-D field; but, without it,
there'd be no length, no time, no pressure, no nothing.

Probaby because you misunderstand light.

Light does require a medium.

<< Unlike the vacuum of classical physics, today's physical vacuum

Sound relies on loose molecular couples.
Light relies on tight Coulomb couples.
