Why Neo-Cons are self serving wankers

The key problem with unfettered capitalism is its tendency to polarise
wealth.
Without a progressive tax system this polarisation goes unchecked the
result is a continually diminishing underclass to buy the products of
industry. As this continues the demand for goods decreases forcing
down productivity and wages. This process decends into a stagnant
economy where a minority rich glean products and services from a slave
class.
If you need examples of this go to the banana republics of Latin
America and (paradoxically) North Korea.
Taxes ensure that the poorer members of the community have the ability
to buy the things which keeps the economy going. It also provides that
the workforce is well educated and able to do the jobs available in a
technological society. It also provides the roads, fire...

Neocons do not feel that kind of alarm or anxiety about the growth of
taxation seeing it as natural, indeed inevitable.

Neo-Cons Didn't Destroy the GOP

I must disagree with Eleanor Clift and other otherwise good analytical
types on this minor matter.

The neocons were sincere about bringing change to the mideast. Even
their lies indicate that they were sincere about progress.

The rest of the GOP wanted the exact opposite from the invasion, that
the eternal quagmire would "lock" them in power forever at home.

There is no way one party could combine both those interests and still
be able to function.

In America you don't lose a political debate because of bad facts or
faulty reasoning. You lose when you contradict yourself all the time.

Smart seasoned Reagan Republicans like Jon Kyl were as nervous as
Cheney's hunting dog about the insane plan but no one had any other
ideas on how to counter Bill Clinton.

If Kyl types said anything Cheney would retort, "you have any better
ideas?"

The fact is, Kyl types _didn't_ have any better ideas.

You actually think that North Korea and Latin America is
representative of libertarian capitalism? Give me a break.

Taxes discourage productivity. Wealth created by government
redistribution does not make up for the wealth lost by imposed
taxation. When taxes are levelled at personal income at around 50%%,
people ask themselves why they have to work the whole year around for
the government, and only half of it for their families. When they
earn a pound, but only get to keep half of it they start to decide
that it is actually wise not to spend that capital or take risks with
it. Capital to provide new employment, is reduced, and the capital
that is generated is then saved because it is too much risk to start
up new enterprises.
