You may think the situation is totally meaningless - but it is not.
If you find what/who you are looking for and find reasons and answers then
of course your view would change.
Agreed humans do practice stories. And indeed they breed. It is mainly
women who cause the breeding and there are far too many humans.
But what is the Truth?
It all depends what you value.
If the real Truth to you is about beauty - music - love - perfection - then
there is no Truth on Earth or any stories of Earth or any religions of Earth
that fulfill these criteria. They all have flaws of some kind.
So look elsewhere.

Note how this guy also states that aliens are very tall - much taller than
humans - and also note how he says (as my Borg do) that:-

I am not the only one to experience alien contact!
