I am Catholic (Christian), hence I beleive in Christ. I am also
American, so who is America?
How can we beleive in something if it doesn't exist? When people say
they're American shouldn' t they really say they're Christian or
Catholic? It would be like someone saying they beleive in Christmas
but not in Christ or not in the prolife movement.

Look at your own fucking history! The USA was founded on the principle
of disestablishment. That means the separation of church and state.
So - no!

Before civil rights, "American" was a known quality. Like being German,
French, Italian, Swedish...most nationalities had a precise organic root to
it. We all knew what a German was, or an Englishman, etc. If one speaks
about a Swedish woman, does not the image of a blond fair haired beauty come
to mind. These identities WERE explicit.

Dear Mr tool short of a toolbox, if you can read look up "cultural
essentialism" and its problems. Then look up "Racism" and why it is
for retards.
There never was and never will be any such thing as an "Englishman" or
an "American" in the sense you mean it.
"Multiculturalism" is not the problem but bigotry, ignorance and poor
foreign policy are the chief causes of strife in the world.

Ah, Mr. Chaz, in all due respect, the sky is blue no matter how much one
might want it to be polka-dot.
