The ancient masters including jesus have often presented the idea that "What
you resist, persists."
One does not combat evil thoughts as it only increases their power and
number. One does not wage war on drugs etc either if one wants to reduce the
focus on and use thereof.
So one does not fight the dreaded fight against bad evil or negative
depressing thoughts. One just STOPs, and thinks uplifting joyful positive
good wholesome cute nice happy thoughts .... and in short order there is no
room/space left for any so called evil thoughts.
