I was actually PREPARING for yesterday and today and both deals went
through! Usually, you are juggling four or five deals and one or two
come through, sometimes none do. This time both of them, and they
were long term deals, so not bad.
My wife's idea of roughing it is a Holiday Inn. You can absolutely
forget the water, mountains, anywhere that is more than 5 miles from a
large mall (can't be a small one) and she is in the wilderness.
Myself, I free climbed until my knees gave way, and snow skied until
the fourth knee surgery. So now I'm just working and writing you when
you write, which is ever so rarely anymore. She wants my book to be
made into a movie, (a really good screenwriter is reading it now) or
our businesses do well enough to go public and she can move to
Manhattan. That is her dream. I could use some of the other
extracurriculars myself. (That's pretty racy talk for you, young
lady!) However, I am fine, still stumbling around looking for my
moral values. Found one the other day, #2 (I know that's not many
but I'll get there.) Anyway #2: Never hand your beer to another guy
and say, "Watch this, your not going to believe it." That is now a
solid moral value I will keep! I'm going with Bill Clinton, and just
keep eight, so six more and I have it down.
As we almost always agree on things, we are friends (and believe me,
a friend on here is rarer than an uncooked steak. As Harry Truman
said, "In Washington, if you want a friend, go buy a dog.") Maybe not
that bad, but I was simply being honest when I said you usually step
back and look at issues with fresh eyes. So as I know morals are the
issue here, Obama, or McCain? I'm afraid I'm going to have to go with
the old white man. You know five years in a POW camp had to leave
scars inside, but sitting in that Church for twenty had to leave scars
as well, and he is in his first term as a Senator. He needs to age
some. Powell, I would have voted for in a second. What do you say?
This should be interesting. Hope you answer quicker. Although, I
guess we have a while. Regards, and your friend on here, Ken Hogan
