Why look to the greek philosophers when you can just check it out in
the dictionary?

Or even better. Work it out for your self. Look at your own
experiences.What happened when your wants were fulfilled?

Compare that with the feelings you have had when you are in intense
pain.

If your needs are not met you cannot function in a satisfying way..
