No, need vs. want is Econ 101, not philosophy (which is not to concede that
Rand was philosopher).

Lots of people survive without water every day.

On the other hand, lots of people do not need others to survive - do
any of us need to survive? We need to establish the goal first to
before determining which tools to achieve that goal are wants or
needs.
