Wheels within wheels..
Perhaps you are in the wrong newsgroup?
This is philosophy..
Boiling things down to the bare bones.
Tribes are tribes.
Monkeys are monkeys.
Eve then Adam ate the apple..
There is no truth.
Merely monkeys fighting about the fruit.
Intelligence is the detachment from the players of the games.
You're talking about a romantic idealization of your garden.
Prune away. Cut back the things to make them grow better or whatever.
But the garden sits within an ultimate meaninglessness.
With us as slaves to the light.
"Upon this gifted age, in its dark hour,
Rains from the sky a meteoric shower
Of facts . . . they lie unquestioned, uncombined.
Wisdom enough to leech us of our ill
Is daily spun; but there exists no loom
To weave it into fabric.
-- Edna St. Vincent Millay"

I understand completely your meaning here.
It is perhaps the single most demarcing thing between myself, you, and most
of the posters here...that I remain a 'believer'. Truth exists as a higher
force beyond reason alone, but serves reason if the grasp is made. I can
still understand what your point of view is for I have visited there myself.
All things are political...fine, if that is the game you wish to play. But
know that 'belief' carries the day in the end, for in the end, it is all we
have. Part of the great weakness of today's silent political overseeing
under this PC, is that your 'source' of virtue pervades the entire
philosophy...which is 'meaninglessness' itself...nothingness. It is based
upon hopelessness, and people cannot exist under such rule for long. Sure,
the things you espouse might seem hopeful from a short sighted view, like
humanism, but it remains rooted to abject nothingness as its underlying
source.
Once again, it has no AUTHORITY. Can you understand this? People do not
abide to other people unless force is used...and eventually rebell against
that force. This is why AUTHORITY is so so important. Intellectuals et.al.
are not our AUTHORITY...for they stand for 'nothing'. That is the truth.
Just like the USSR, all that we see happening today will in time 'fail'.
There will be a time of its existence of course (the USSR lasted, what...7
decades or so?)...but it will 'fail'; it has to, for it stands on no truth
as found in the human heart, no matter how you want to paint that heart as a
romantic relic. There is good and there is evil...and tur...you do not
stand on the side where good is upheld by vocation; but where evil is served
by it's very denial. It translates from the very objectivity with no
purpose that you [and modern intellectualism] purports. There is no virtue
to this. Just power. Because there has been no direction, what we create
now is a monstrocity that will break down on it's own. I fear a great
upheaval is in our future for this. Evil has been served.
