what does society value most?

It is a crude but often true statement that how much you are valued depends
on how much you get paid.

It cannot be hardwork cos a farmer works harder than an accountant.
It cannot be brains either cos there are some educated people who are poorer
than those w/o qualifications.
It cannot be brawns cos there are nerds who are rich.
It cannot be looks cos some wealthy ppl are ugly.

It seems there is no general answer. or is it the answer/society that is
changing all the time?

Perhaps "leadership". It doesn't necessarily
"pay" the most (though in a CEO it might).
Day to day leadership promotes group or
societal focus, hence is of value.

Maybe it's a multivariate thing. Society values each of the things you
mention so those who are valued highest have high "scores" in multiple
facets. A kind of fighre of merit.

Your premise is false.
I do not place value on wealthy people, quite the contrary.

I always answer this that people are valued by the degree of responsibility
they carry. This also happens to be correlative to wage earned I think.

Your question is unanswerable because it is misconceived. Societies do not
value anything. Only the people in them value things, and they all value
different things for different reasons and to different degrees.

How much someone earns depends upon how many people value the product or
service he offers and to what extent. Only the value of his service to
those people count; its value to "society" is fictitious and irrelevant.

Some of this stuff might be offensive but some of it may explain our
dilemma;
