Some, because they will kill without remorse. Some because they have
enough problems trying to come to grips with this life, let alone past
lives, and some because they are frightened of what they may see if
they look.
Of course there are some who fit the first catagory because they
'believe' they will ,as a reward, sit at the feel of Allah.Imagine how
much more destructive they would be if they had *first hand* knowledge
of being reborn?
No need to imagine. It doesnt happen.
The second catagory consists of the vast majority. Regardless of their
achievements, wealth and general status in life, they still feel
anxious. Many have been motivated by fear of not achieveing, fear of
failure (or success), of death of themselves or loved ones, or of
developing degenerative diseases. They see how quickly effects of
success dissipate, and leave a hunger, often worse that prior to the
success.
Generally, aspects of not being seen to fit societies expectations of
what it is to be successfull.
Surely , with clinical knowledge of the likes of Brian Weiss, it would
be easy to regress people and expose them to this level of reality,
but like most medecine, treating the symptoms do not address the
cause. Not that this is to do with sickness per se.
It was interesting to see Dr Oz , a great humaniterian, doctor and
healthy sceptic, who having experienced regression with the help of
Brian Weiss, became far more opened minded, but was still not
convinced.
He fitted a forth catagory. He is so dedicated to his vocation, that
such knowledge would likely disrupt his life. He simply has enough on
his plate, and clearly loves what he does.
Weiss was of a similar disposition, until a pivotal point of
experience, when, while hypnotising his patient, she regressed and
started telling him facts about himself that it was simply impossible
for her to know. About the death of his father and of a child of his,
who died at three weeks of age. That experience opened a door, and he
(if you will pardon the pun) has never looked back.It was 'his'
experience, more than his patient's.
The point here is, although this patient was a 'catalyst' for his
experience, she, like Oz, did not have a major shift in awareness.
The fifth catagory, being those who are "ready" to know, are already
balanced , can look at all events of this life without much
attatchment, and as a result, 'quite literally' will have appointments
which will lift the veil.
So now you know why you know, why you dont believe, or why you wish
that one warring group would prevail over another.
Ultimate irony. You can see the past, only when the past becomes
irrellevent.when you have figured out that everything that ever
happened, was to take you to the reality of here and now. The blissful
state of being.
Like day to day achievement,or knowledge of past life experiences, the
'desire' for either will keep the door firmly closed. Reason, desire
is based on some sense of future, and future is an illusion.
