Different people claim to have different spiritual insights. If a
ball rolls across the room, can you tell the difference between
volition and poltergeist? Volition would indicate that the ball has a
soul or is at least alive.
Poltergeist would be some other spirit (in the case of poltergeist,
evil) that moves the ball. It's nice to pretend or even "make
believe" that the ball moves by itself but if a poltergeist moves it,
that is a whole different situation.
How do you tell the difference between volition and poltergeist? Is it
something that can be explained to other people. I know some priests
have spent many years in prayer trying to explain the Holy Eucharist
to certain indiviuals and have been unable to.
I spent a lot of time praying for a tree once between my house and the
neighbor's and I was shocked once when I opened the window and the
tree semed to have "moved" like in the Wizard of Oz. It grew right
into my house.
There is the theory that life is there all along, all you have to do
is believe.
