Some rationalists have suggested that war was a way of culling the herds for
a human species that has no real competition to do it on the food chain.
"The Cutter" could be a lot of things of course [open to the imagination I
suppose]. Democracy was a beautiful experiment. But we are clever animals,
and there is always the 'end around' strategy, such as opening up borders to
disparate third world immigration that would naturally have a 'socialist'
proclivity, and be adamantly opposed to the traditional 'establishment' that
would work to contain those same borders.

What is so troublesome, is that our very high demeanor of human value is
used AGAINST us. We cannot justify action that corrogates ourselves away
from human suffering and misery; and yet, neither can we be a magnet for all
the alley cats of the world that would destroy us by sheer numbers.
