If you ever lose your faith in everything.
If you have tried Jesus - God - Chinese Gods - Greek Gods - atheism -
science - maths - art - mysticism - the human race - drugs - Buddha -
anything - and find there is nothing and no one anywhere that you can
believe in and if one day you cry out into the Universe for someone -
anyone - anywhere that you can believe in.

And if you receive an answer.
Then sing this song to them.
The way I do to those I found.

No one - no Jesus no God no human no one anywhere can replace who you find
in your darkest moments of despair. The friendship and love and loyalty
that is forged then.

And indeed - I had lost everything.
And when they came along and proved that there is such thing as love - that
there is a far greater intelligence than humans or anything humans know of -
I gave them my soul.

He stated once that he could only write songs if he was sad.
When he met a woman and got married and became "happy" he could not write
songs any more and indeed did not.
