I disagree entirely.
Islam does not in any way attempt to cater to the primitive and
natural needs of humans. On the contrary it has put up a huge edifice
of lies and dissimulation that, like Victorian England, attmepts to
separate its faithful from their base and primitive urges.
Modern psychology and free-thinking is far better qualified to treat
humans as humans. I have to say that once I threw off the last
remaining inhibitions forced on me by a early post-war culture I have
always been as happy as a pig in shit with my sexuality and have not
one gramme of sexual deviance, abstinence, restriction, repression or
guilt about how I act in my life: free to love with or without
marriage, to have sex with or without the consequence of children. I
count my self lucky to have been born at the start of the greatest
decade of human history:1960.
Islam is a bucket of vile sophistication and ideological fantasy.
Sexual repression is a crime against humanity. You have only to look
at the repression of Catholic preists and the habitual and tradition
paedophilia rampant within the priestly class for hundreds of years.
It is not sophisticated ideal that makes me find paedophilia abhorrant
it is the way I feel, fancy words and ideals cannot easily command
feelings, but an open and happy life which includes the pursuit of
basic instincts, including love and compassion does enable me to build
ideals by which we council others to eschew abuse and domination. But
it is to the faithful and idealistic that such advice must be directed
it seems.
