Unless you have complete understanding of these factors, stating how
'close' they get seems a little thin.

I don't get what you mean by this... are you saying that I struggle
for a certain identity?

Are you saying that no matter the identity, it's pointless to struggle
to become that?

Are you saying that because of the reality we live in it's pointless
to try?

It is a stage we all go through.

Hearing such comments was very useful to me, when my "perceived"
status started to get 'thin'

You dont need to see all of the ladder, to know it is a ladder.

We are each surrounded by such examples.

I could give you examples of a sequence of numbers of how to open a
safe. That will not open yours.

Maybe so, but I'm not talking about a safe, I'm talking about an
example of something that gets close in you're oppinion to explaining
the struggle for identity, excluding biological or cultural factors.

True, but if all one needs is him/herself to stay well, why would one
need a doctor?
