The Philosophical issues of farting

Author: John Jones

Farting is no subject-matter that any right-minded individual need talk
about. But for a philosopher - all present noble company - there are
deep problems that emerge from a conceptual analysis and examination of
these living, gaseous, eruptions:

And, so speaking, answer these - if you can!:

1) Is enjoyment an illusion, that I should saviour my own peristaltic
airs.. yet, not find enjoyment in breathing the airs of another?

2) If I should, by good fortune, avoid the gusty airs of all others,
shall I be forever bereft of knowledge of my people, and fall into a
compromised, solipsistic, reality from which there is little prospect of
an odiferously pleasant escape?

I would think of it as prefrence... I personally don't find any
happiness by inhaling mine, or anyone else's gasses, but it feels good
to let it out, no?
