Sounds like you are talking about theosophy, not christianity. Are
you suggesting that early christianity morphed into theosophy?

God has never been the essence of my endeavor. The essence of my
endeavor is spiritual development. If that includes God, fine, if
not, fine. Always the standard of humanism - the good is what is good
for humanity. That is where we find ourselves - we are humans with a
problem, called the human condition, which we must solve. If God
helps us to do so, more power to Him/Her. If not, we must dispatch
