For what I am about to do, please forgive....
Energy is the root of all existence. Why energy should exist I don';t
know. Does there have to be a why?
Energy becomes matter under certain conditions. E= mc etc always seems
a little too pat - but who am I to quibble with Einstein?
Anyway there was a bang. Why? There was a bang, isn't that enough?
Energy/matter shot out. The bang was the motor.
But in time the inherent forces in the energy/matter exerted a
pressure - and this is the key to this posting: the inherent forces in
any situation will eventually, if given time, exert themselves.
So - in time and after what prodigious jousting - the universe we are
beginning to know emerged.
And in time a miracle molecule, one that replicated, emerged - miracle
by nature and in the confluence of factors required for its emergence.
And once this beautifully logical potential was made flesh there
ensued a vast improvisation - think Sonny Rollins - that in time
explored and utilised every possibility.

There are other stories.

There is no final 'there'. The only 'there' is the process used to 'get
there' which is now.
Not to rehash but not to go unanswered either

Well, thank you, Freddie...! And are all stories the same and, really,
the content hardly matters, it's just the sheer human wonderment of
telling stories?
Don't agree. Don't agree at all. All stories may contain elements of
the truth and all stories might in some way cast some light on the
mysteries of human existence. But only one story tells the whole
truth. Only one story describes the nature of creation and the origin
of life and the reality of human potential and the (somewhat)
convoluted process that saw this potential come to fruition.
I say "somewhat" convoluted because in evolutionery time we are
FLYING through the various stages necessary to create an intelligent
global society - though, clearly, it will not seem like this to most
human beings becalmed in some less-than-choice situation.
By the way, I don't claim to have the "one story" - but I'm certainly
not content just to be telling any story.

Google him. Or, better still, listen to him. You might like what you
hear :-)

Fair point. There is no final "there". But I never said there was.
There is, though, an intelligent global society which should come
about - one way or the other - sometime this century. That's the
"there" I had in mind. Where we go from that there is quite another
matter.

OK. How will this be different than today? Do you see some definitive
mark since this has already been declared to have happened in some
quarters. A declaration of global conscience, a new world order, was
declared after WWI, for instance.
