re A.S.

I enjoyed the longish article, despite his Jewish comment which didn't
totally piss me because I had been aware of the controversy.

If I had been born there in a shetl and abused by pogroms and the
generally anti-Jewish government & cultue, I don't think I'd merely be
a civilized Menshivik (social democrat) rather than barbaric
bolshevik, although it somewhat sickens me to have to rationalize
such.

Because A.S. is non-conformist, knowledgable, very candid, truly
courageous, colorful, and trademark cantankerous, his writing attracts
& influences.

I have read some of his work, I hereby admit in READER'S DIGEST, which
I sometimes demean as "Readers Disgust" for the cheap fun of semi
terrific pun.

Recently I semi-tried DR ZHIVAGO by Boris Pasternak: I could not get
past the first paragraph it was so boring, though the film version is
5 star excellent and probaly available at a Blockbuster or via
Netflix. Do not miss seeing it, everybody.
