Good work, but you don't need to be that clever.
Eventually sharp wit has a tendency to annoy people and make them
think twice about what they say in your presence (outside of Usenet is
what I'm talking about), for fear you're going to come up with another
biting witticism--which is usually a thinly veiled attempt to boost
your own ego. I've seen witty bastards become auto-isolated, largely
because nobody wanted to be near them.
If you need to get out all that sharp wit before you yourself are
lacerated by it, write a novel, or something. I think Thomas Pynchon
presents a perfect model for witty wordcraft.
