The General Prey of the Rich On the Poor -- Jefferson

Author: BretCahill
Date: Jul 4, 2008 09:46

"Experience declares that man is the only animal which devours his own
kind; for I can apply no milder term to the governments of Europe, and
to the general prey of the rich on the poor."

-- Jefferson 1787

Now it's reversed with the American rich preying on the American poor.

Of course, the corp. media will "merely"omit this fact.

The institutionalized (and privatized) educational system makes this
easier:
'Non-critical Sheeple make great consumers!'

You realize that IS the definition of EVIL don't you?
The powerful stealing from the poor and powerless.

Whilst you "merely" omit that rich American colonialists also preyed
(and prayed) on the colonial have-nots!

And with Europe being closer to Jeffersonian democracy.

The rightards were either chased to Canada or at least they knew to
keep their mouths shut.

The rich were able to prey on the poor in J's day because at that time, in
Europe, the rich and gummint were identical. Then, as now, the gummint was
the real predator.

Spoken like a true commie pinko socialist.

Does it occur to anyone that if the roles were reversed, nothing would
change. It's not like all poor people today are innocent victims.

You ought to be aware that only the State has the right
to make Soylent Green. It has a monopoly that way.

Well, there are many such "facts" they will free omit.
Like the one about the Easter Bunny's tryst with Santa
Clause, the rebellion of the pink unicorns, and the fall
of the angels from heaven.

Given that the rich pay a vastly disproportionate amount of the tax
load while the poor pay relatively little - and given that far more of
the services of gov't are for the benefit of the poor than the rich -
it would seem that the exact opposite is the case.

It's easier to prey on the poor than on the rich. It's because they're
easy prey that keeps them poor. It's because they are good predators
that makes them rich.
Some of the rich prey on the other rich like the so-called corporate
raiders, they are such good predators that they can pick on the rich
and succeed.
