No, I'm not, but it's hard not to see the connection - both in the
positive (what happens with it) and the negative (what happens without
it).
"Workers" are the same in any case. Open the factory door and they'll
trudge to it. What's different is: the profit-seeking businessman.
The evidence in support of what I'm saying is overwhelming and
indisputable - and, though more isn't needed, it keeps pouring in
every day.

Sure, something more than "simple minded". That's why, as you
correctly point out, many fail.

That happens to be true, by their own statements. But what does that
have to do with what we are talking about?

Sorry i meant "single-minded" as in one mainly focused on profit-seeking ,
whilst there;s nothing wrong with that, it isn;t the be all and end of
success, or a healthy business or economy.

No, it isn't. But it should be the *primary* focus of any business.
Because without a profit the business fails and its whole purpose for
being ceases.

No, I confess. I was only a mere sales/marketing exec for 20 years and
have run my own business for the last 10.

Profit never, ever "looks after itself" and customer service while
critical and necessary is not sufficient - actually far from
sufficient. I'm starting to wonder if you've ever been in the business
world yourself (because I thought you said you had).

Excellent, then you'd know the difference between advertising/brand image,
and marketing then?
[Rhetorical question ] What is it?
