Don't know if the membership of atheism is falling or rising -- but
atheism can only progress so far.

Atheism can offer nothing to theists looking for inner peace, comfort,
charity, hope and compassion.

Sure, atheism appeals to a potion of society that is defiant, bitter
and hate filed.

But people need comfort in times of pain.

What does atheism offer the potential theist convert?

Yes, when atheism has humans realising that imaginary gods are a sure sign
of insanity,
then there will be no more need for atheism - but i m not expecting an
early result!

I dont see that it is possible to prove anything to an atheist. A more
useful exercise mite be to look at the power structures athiests and
other religions have created. The bulk of the deserved criticisms
atheism makes is against the Levantine concepts of the divine. And the
bulk of those criticisms break down confronted with some other
cosmologies.

We have not seen much in the way of Buddhist, Taoist, or Confucian
suicide bombers, inquisitions, genocides, or heresy trials.

The ancient silk Road cities just west of the Jade Gate, that operated
between the hegemony of the Persian and Chinese empires were
ethnically and religiously diverse. Kucha, Urumchi, Niya, Khotan,
Loulan, and others existed for over a thousand years as independent
city states operating a free market system with very egalitarian
conditions that I dont see that atheism ever produced. They have
found, for instance, the ruins of sacred shrines to 22 different
religions in Kucha. Of course, there are no atheist shrines, but
neither is there any evidence that atheism contributed to freedom and
egalitarian conditions in the writings they left, nor the references
to them found in Chinese documents.

Why don't you assholes learn what an atheist is and what one isn't?

This proves that there are absolutes! How very true!
When Jesus comes again, ALL atheists left will have
proof, but many will still shake their fist at Him, because
they do not want to be accountable to their Creator
no matter what!

. Ancient Evidence for Jesus from Non-Christian Sources

Introduction

There are a few references to Jesus in 1st-century Roman
and Jewish sources. Documents indicate that within a few
years of Jesus' death, Romans were aware that someone
named Chrestus (a slight misspelling...

And if you think that is proof of anything it is no wonder you believe in
god.
Shove off.

Yes you do. Atheism is an entirely irrational belief that God does not
exist. You can never provide any kind of proof that shows God does not
exist. Believing in something you cannot provide any evidence for is
completely irrational. Theism is an entirely irrational belief in the
concept of a personal god. Theists can never provide any kind of
evidence that such a god exists. Me I simply equate God with the
Universe, nothing more. Of these three, only my position is aligned with
science, logic and rationality.
