When we actually have the Jim Broadbent character in the seventh book
saying "Oh, it's all in Plato!", there's really not much I can add, here.
(And as for the other obvious metaphor you may pick up on on first read,
remember, Lewis'd been there, Type A from the age o' seven, wore every
uniform in the athie closet for half his life, and KNEW whereof he spoke.
Basic rule: You wanna talk about drinking, you don't talk to the
Salvation Army, you talk to a recovering AA member.) ;)
