Anyone whom actually believes the above claptrap, please skim for the
more interesting parts of the semi-interesting AFTER AUSCHWITZ by
(rabbi educated) Richard Rubenstein, who at the time he composed it
was a chaplain & apparent atheist at Florida State Univ
Today In heard/read he's into "Moonism" or whatever---hay,
intellectual folk may convert and change since they're those darned
human beings also
He also now has a write-up in WKI which wasn't long enough the last
time I read it, months ago
Here is a key point or 3 of his philosophy/theology/reality
Rubenstein holds "religious existentialism" as truth, which he
diligently over-explains, because it seems a contradiction if you
don't understand the pragmatic appeal of of Judaism, and he also likes
the RCC's rituals and ceremonies in fulfilling the irrational needs of
humans and their communities
He disabuses us all of the "chosen" & explains the two edge sword
catch 22 doom in such thinking
If Jews can be supernaturally good, then we can also be supernaturally
bad as our multi enemies have often caricaturized us
The reality is we are human beings, not endowed by a super-natural
with devil horns nor angel wings
We have inter-bred, amalgamated with, & developed from other peoples/
tribes starting circa 3-4 thousand years ago via both physical and
cultural diffusion and absorptio
