I tried getting interested in this well made TV series, but the overwhelming
treatment of women as Amazonian Warriors simply was too unreal to accept. I
think the writers wanted to advance certain social agenda to the
viewer...essentially some sort of feminist ideal or something. I find
almost all these shows that treat women on an 'absolute' equal footing as
men as simply unreal. In the real world, women, though often very competent
in their own right, simply do not deal with "potentially violent situations"
in the same way as men; often men 'cover up' the weaknesses of the women
they must work aside. Rarely are women the true pecking order leaders that
these TV shows suggest. Needless to say, I stopped watching.
