Do you think there is such a thing as telepathy? There is ample
evidence of this if not proof. Not that every thought is readable.
What does this deem us for the human race? Are we better off with or
without telepathy?

Do you really think that we cogniscize this black light we are reading right
now, across a whitened background?
No.
We are reading each other's minds.
I am telepathic. You are telepathic. We are all telepathic. That is where
we are all going right now, anyway.

I think telepathy is a wrong concept. You have simultaneity and tuning.
It's not like "reading", it's a "becoming". In alternative terms "soul-.
or mind-sharing".
The fear that you can have when you believe your mind can be read can be
big.
The misconception there is that someone might misuse the information or
know what you really think. Apart from other possibilities to know that
anyhow, the fear is unappropriate because with "becoming" another there
is also understanding, comprehension of the other. Without understanding
"mind-sharing" would not be possible. And anyone can lear to understand
each other.

I don't know, since you have not defined it and described how it might
work. Any explanation or example I have seen can be explained as some
sort of coincidence, lucky guess, planned guess, or some just-so
story;
A just-so story, also called the Ad hoc fallacy, is a term used in
academic anthropology, biological sciences, and social sciences. It
describes an unverifiable and unfalsifiable narrative explanation for
a cultural practice or a biological trait or behavior of humans or
other animals. The use of the term is an implicit criticism that
reminds the hearer of the essentially fictional and unprovable nature
of such an explanation. Such tales are common in folklore and
mythology (where they are known as etiological myths — see etiology).

When you have the power you can place thoughts into human heads.
You can place a song - and then the human thinks they thought of the song
and wrote it themselves. You can place ideas. You can place inventions. A ...
