I think it was Schopenhauer (you have to occasionally name drop here
so those in the group with authoritarian personality types won't
automatically discard what you say) who remarked that when you look
back on your life, it appears as if it was a play or a novel
consisting of characters, themes, and plots that all seem woven
together as if by design. Of course, at the time, everything seems
random and chaotic, but as the story unfolds, it all begins to make
sense.
Or in short, everything and everyone has meaning.
I certainly find that to be the case.
