So, anyway, here we are...
We are, of course, the mind of matter. By this, I do not not mean that
matter has a mind in our sense of the word - insofar as we have
defined, or clarified, our sense of the word. I simply mean that we
are the sole known bearers of that configuration of matter that gives
rise to the many phenomena we associate with mind.
But we are about our business. It's a big planet - from our point of
view.,And there was much we didn't know. Luckily, we possessed the
capacity to believe...just about anything. And we had among our
numbers men and women who could make us believe... just about
anything. And we're sociable. We take sides...fiercely. We
identify...fiercely. We committ...fiercely. We defend...fiercely.
So it was a fraught colonisation. Oh, did I not mention colonisation?
A creature, a space, a process of filling that space...I think we call
that colonisation. Or even colonization! Ugly zeeee! See, we can't
even agree on zeee!

Well done, sir! You make my case: if a man dares to venture a positive
view about human destiny he will be deemed to be mad. To denigrate
those who disagree with the conventional wisdom - or non-wisdom - is
an old story, About as old as we are, I'd say. It's something to do
with the human mind cleaving to the safe and the sorry - both of which
adjectives apply to your tidy criticism, Mr.D.

intelligent global civilisation that guy is a loon? Interesting.

That load of tripe, (yes, I did day "tripe", and yes, I did read it
twice, to be sure that I was not mistaken the first time), was "a
positive view about human destiny"?
Perhaps you would care to point out where?
