I understand completely what you are saying.
Im taking it deeper, in the sense that I also understand that every
event has a purpose, so overall,at the deepest level, Im not sorry for
anything that happens.

To 'regret' is a step to an acknowledgment to yourself that you now
'know better'. Completion is 'putting it right'. The experience that
comes with "balancing the books", ironically, validates 'regret', but
just as a step. This "step" soon dissapears, and no mistake :-)

I would also humbly suggest that this understanding is not easily
recognised by those who are trying to develop themselves at others
expense.

Years ago I would have said "Im sorry to say that this understanding"
etc etc :-).
