Who getsta decide what degredaton is? There's another example to
consider dug up by archeology in prehistoric SE Europe. See Gimbutas,
"The Language of the Goddess", in which she tries to reconstruct the
original Aryan cosmology. Joseph Campbell wrote the forward, which he
closes with:"The message here is of an actual age of peace and harmony
with the creative energies of Nature, which for a spell of some 4000
prehistoric years anteceded the 5000 of what James Joyce has termed the
'nightmare' (of contending tribal and national interests) from which it
is certainly time for this planet to wake." [his parens]
This claim of a real 'Golden Age of Peace' has been hotly debated in
archeology. But if you look at the collections of artifacts recovered
from the tels in the river basins that empty into the west end of the
Black Sea from 8000-4000 BC, it aint what they found, its what they
didnt. There are no weapons even tho they invented bronze. There are no
graves of warriors and no iconography of weapons or warfare.
Goodison and Morris set out to open up a virgin tel specifically looking
for signs of warfare, which they report in "Ancient Goddesses" down
thru 4000 years of occupation layers, they did not find any.
Campbell, Eliade, Gimbutas, and others have collected snippets of myth
and iconography and collated them using the rules of etymology to
reconstruct the cosmology. to wit:
Chaos, not god, was the primordial initial state.
But just as any study of random phenomena will reveal, eventually you
get something that self replicates. Thus Gaia *evolves* out of Chaos.
And since She continues to evolve, as life still does, eventually She
reached a state of sentience and differentiated Herself from Chaos to
produce 'Maya', the physical universe. And like all natural Mothers,
has the instinct to create more life, but unlike god, has no divine
plan, but sets life free to fulfill its own destiny.
The Bible has you here to please god and his host. Gaia has you here
that She mite please you. The reason for the Golden Age of peace becomes
more clear when you consider the problem a demagogue would have trying
to rile up a mob or an army by claiming that *HE* speaks in *HER* name.
The Biblical god relies on the negative re-inforcement of threats of
damnation and force to compel obedience. Gaia uses the positive
re-inforcement of sex, drugs, rock and roll. Thus, She is often depicted
dancing. And now that the brave heart, strong right arm, sword in hand-
no longer cuts it, the other power of the cunt to get cooperation is
taking over. There are no systems of safe weapons, but women have
figured out how to use safe sex.
