It's all in your mind! Happiness and contentment that is.
Listen to some of the great minds of the past...and...the
latest mathematics. They are starting to say the same things.
Utopia is not a place, time or circumstance.
But it's a process of ceaseless growth. Only Nature
can provide the depth of wonder and learning required
to provide such an endless joy....or utopia.
Dear Emily settled this matter long ago, as she says so well below.
Once we grasp the simplicity that flows from the complexity
generated by /combining opposite extremes/....
"For this new value in the soul,
Supremest earthly sum."
"The heaven below the heaven above
Obscured with ruddier hue."
Then something wonderful happens......
"One blessing had I, than the rest
So larger to my eyes
That I stopped gauging, satisfied,
For this enchanted size.
It was the limit of my dream,
The focus of my prayer,-
A perfect, paralyzing bliss
Contented as despair.
I knew no more of want or cold,
Phantasms both become,
For this new value in the soul,
Supremest earthly sum.
The heaven below the heaven above
Obscured with ruddier hue.
Life's latitude leant over-full;
The judgment perished, too.
Why joys so scantily disburse,
Why Paradise defer,
Why floods are served to us in bowls,-
I speculate no more."
STOP worrying about everyone else, and START
trying to figure out the true simplicity of reality.
You'll find the simplest things are /more than enough/.
As Dear Emily, again, says so well....
"Pigmy seraphs gone astray,
Velvet people from Vevay,
Belles from some lost summer day,
Bees' exclusive coterie.
Paris could not lay the fold
Belted down with emerald;
Venice could not show a cheek
Of a tint so lustrous meek.
Never such an ambuscade
As of brier and leaf displayed
For my little damask maid.
I had rather wear her grace
Than an earl's distinguished face;
I had rather dwell like her
Than be Duke of Exeter,
Royalty enough for me
To subdue the bumble-bee!"
