This is Shrikeback@gmail.com's brain on drugs:

Then you should be pleased with his choice of VP. With McCain's
choice the country ends up being run by a divorced and admitted
adulterer who thinks his wife is a cunt and a small town mayor
juggling an absent husband, a sick infant and a pregnant seventeen
year old daughter. Yeah, that'll play just fine in the foreign press.
Just when I thought the world was done laughing at Republicans.

Biden. The guy who's been faithful to his only wife? The guy who
takes the train between Washington and Delaware every day he goes to
work? The guy who's been in the Senate since McCain was in the Hanoi
Hilton? The kind of Senator who gets invited abroad on his own
recognizance?

Meanwhile, Palin's strong points are family values and her anti
corruption reputation but she's going down in flames. She says she's
"just a hockey mom" who became a mayor of a town of 8500 souls on an
anti corruption platform and then and used that to launch her to the
Governorship of a State albeit one with half the population of
Cleveland.

Turns out, Palin is under investigation by her own legislature for
firing her state police commissioner because he refused to fire her
brother in law, a state trooper involved in a messy divorce from her
sister.

As for family values, she has a 17 year old daughter living at home
who's *six months* pregnant. And McCain says he knew about it before
he picked her. What does that say about his judgment?

And when is Mr Palin going to speak? When are his interviews
scheduled with Greta Sustern or Soledad O'Brien? Maybe he'll show us
what sort of Second Gentleman he'll be.

Will he keep working in the oil fields or move to Washington to raise
his children while his wife attends to affairs of State? Perhaps he's
just the diaper changer Mrs Palin will need when the Vice President is
called upon to honor some second order potentate at a funeral in
Europe or Africa.

What arrangements will be made for children and what will this do
to them? You can't turn a motorcade around in Baghdad because you ran
short of diapers.

I wonder who'll end up as McCain's veep by November?

It's a good thing Palin's a member of the NRA
'cause she's got a shotgun wedding coming up.
