I hereby renounce some of my environmentalism, at least that which is
prohibiting the drilling for oil (and natural gas?) off the coasts of
these two beautiful, heavily populated sunbelt States. I have not
decided re Anwar Alaska's virginity.

The U.S. has had appprox 35 years of insatiable oil addiction, gross
loss of solvency and independence.
