There is a Rasputin operating here in Houston, TX who goes by the name of
Quannel X. His sole function is to embarrass the Houston police department
by acting as father confessor to Houston's worst criminal element. Creepy.
It's hard to tell what the police department really thinks of it because the
news media is madly in love with Rasputin. I don't suppose it is really
possible for Texas to be the epicenter of a new renaissance with the
potential of having global implications. Rasputin can't extend his
influence beyond the city limits. There might be other influences with the
potential of driving out Rasputin but they haven't answered my summons.
