...could well come out, "what I think is what I get".
The work of Ramachandran on neuro linguistic programming, and visual imigary
impact, amongst other eminent scientists, would validate such a view.
His recent demonstration regarding phantom pain was a perfect example.

So if I continue to think about green unicorns munching hay in my
living room, they will eventually appear?

If you "think" illusion, you "get" illusion -- alright, so you might
possibly start to see things, hallucinations, as a result of thinking
that overly assiduously.
Also, thinking of moneybags too much may similarly cause hallucinatory
wishful thinking; while thinking of real-life plans in decent and
realistic detail, may give you realistic preparation to achieve those.
The info. age version might be, "I think therefore I am _prepared_."

Do you think you are prepared to think, and if so, by whom?

***What do you mean by 'green unicorns'?
If you "think" illusion, you "get" illusion -- alright, so you might
possibly start to see things, hallucinations, as a result of thinking
that overly assiduously.
***We have a different interpretation of illusion. The most common form Im
referring to is exemplified in the example "suffer now for future
reward'"where the dominating reality in life becomes suffering and reward is
always in the future.
