On Philosophical Zombies

Author: Sir Frederick

What we are, with a bunch of charade like self stories
automatically practiced. These stories are practiced at a
very low primitive level in our brain. Hence they are treated
as real, as are qualia.

Thus, giving a machine a self, with "conscious" experiences
and the hubris to claim selfhood, is a matter of brain structure detail.

Any entity or force or process that has, when it is part of and required by
a theory with explanatory power, is "real." A theory has explanatory power
if it enables us to predict future experience.

We are literally points of view.

If we had all the points of view there would be no right or wrong
(stories).

As it stands we are not zombies since we're *conscious* of our
relative positions.

Believing in something that would be to all intents and purposes; be
some kind of zombie "god", is not healthy from my point of view
because that would be a charade.

Any greater intelligence is always going to be relative to our
consciousness.

With our consciousness being something that we have trouble in even
defining..

So your zombie situation would appear to be about being held hostage
by the incredibly complex consciousness (a greater intelligence).

"A soap opera is an ongoing, episodic work of fiction, usually
broadcast on television or radio. Programs described as soap operas
have existed as an entertainment long enough for audiences to
recognize them simply by the term soap. The name soap opera stems from
the original dramatic serials broadcast on radio that had soap
manufacturers such as Procter and Gamble, Colgate-Palmolive, and Lever
Brothers as the show's sponsors.[1] These early radio serials were
broadcast in weekday daytime slots when mostly housewives would be
available to listen; thus the shows were aimed at and consumed by a
predominantly female audience.[1]

The term soap opera has at times been generally applied to any
romantic serial,[1] but is also used to describe the more
naturalistic, unglamorous evening, prime-time drama serials of the UK
such as Coronation...

Sounds like a non sequitor to me. But then... consider the
source.

Anyway, you wouldn't have anything on the topic at hand
to contribute. You know, philosophical zombies and all
that? Concentrate. Put on the tinfoil thinking hat. So
would you? Or are you proof that philsophical zombies
really are possible?
