I treat my dog and couch the same. I use each in a way that will provide
me the most comfort, and maintain each as necessary for its kind.
However the question isn't wether I treat my dog different than my
couch, the question is if others should have the right to tell me to
treat them differently.
If someone decides to breed their dogs in an attempt to make some sort
of sea lion type creature, should other's have the right to stop them?
That speaks to the question of how much rights do they really own of the
dog and how much is owned by the dog.
So, do I own the right to breed the dog however I choose, or does the
dog own the right to breed however it chooses? If the former, then dog
shows are fine, if the latter, then they are an abomination.
