Some candidates may be refreshingly honest but it's a farce for
Democrats to nominate someone who doesn't know _why_ the jingoistic
media ("9/11 changed EEEEVERYthing") suddenly started gushing "Obama
you are so BEEAUUtiful."
The jingoist corp. media ("9/11 changed EEEEVERYthing") were looking
for a naive pump and dump, another John Kerry, so we could stay in
Iraq for another 8 years.
First they flatter the unknown Dem to get him in debt to them and
then, as soon as the viable candidates are out of the picture, they
pull the plug.
And we stay in Iraq for another 8 years.
The Gipster wasn't a pump and dump. The Gipper was old and his
baggage was well known. Obama has yet to prove his teflon.

"The biggest political joke in America is that we have a liberal press.
It's a joke taken seriously by a surprisingly large number of people...
The myth of the liberal press has served as a political weapon for
conservative and right-wing forces eager to discourage critical coverage
of government and corporate power ... Americans now have the worst
of both worlds: a press that, at best, parrots the pronouncements of the
powerful and, at worst, encourages people to be stupid with pseudo-news
that illuminates nothing but the bottom line."

Here's a study of the federal docket, hyped by the corp. boss media as
being lofty, just, independent and vibrant:
Searching Lexus-Nexus over the past 30 years for all published
opinions in U. S. district and appeals courts:
public nudity + free speech: 100s of cases
gay + free speech: dozens of cases
KKK + free speech: dozens of hits
nazi, flagburner, etc: each category over a dozen hits
Economic issues + free speech?
Only 6 cases and in all six cases the words only appeared together
coincidentially.
Of the hundreds of millions of cases filed over the past 3 decades in
the U. S. free speech wasn't invoked even once for economic issues.
From the above one could conclude:
a. Americans aren't interested in money,
b. No one ever censors economic information,

I can merely show you the common sense to analyze your critical observations.
1). The War Powers Act.
In a time of "war".... the media is thoroughly censored. This is
true in any country in the world.
2). National Security Letters.
