Obama Can Now Force An Early 2008 Withdrawal From Iraq

A promise of a war crimes prosecution could force Cheney and Dumbya
into rethinking their plan to run out the clock.

The real question is, does Obama really want to clean up a mess he
never authorized? When the troops are pulled the inevitable civil war
will cause fuel prices to soar.

Better that happen on Cheney / Bush's watch.

Union President Chides Obama for Maytag Remarks

Machinists President Chides Obama for Maytag Remarks International
Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers

WASHINGTON, Dec. 31 -- The president of the International Association
of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) is urging Sen. Barack Obama
(D-IL) to dry his crocodile tears over the loss of more than 1,600
jobs when Maytag moved from Galesburg, IL, to Reynosa, Mexico.

"He didn't lift a finger to help those people when they needed help
the most," said IAM President Tom Buffenbarger, whose union
represented the workers at Maytag. "Even now, he doesn't have a clue
and thinks those jobs went overseas and not to Mexico."

In recent campaign speeches, Sen. Obama has repeatedly cited the
plight of Maytag workers in his bid to win sympathy and support from
union members battered by factory closings and lost jobs.

Dr. Goldblatt has had a liver transplant and is a drunk; and a man who
hates children including his own, cats, and women, unless they are hot
and easy.

Shalom,

From NYT>

WASHINGTON (AP) -- In what is being called a serious provocation,
Iranian Revolutionary Guard boats harassed and provoked three U.S.
Navy ships in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, officials said Monday.

U.S. forces were on the verge of firing on the Iranian boats in the
early Sunday incident, when the boats ended the incident and turned
and moved away, said a Pentagon official.
