NEW REPUBLIC: Complex History of Muslim Tolerance/Intolerance of Jews

Author: Robert Cohen
Date: Sep 9, 2008 11:57

I've skimmed some of this, including that first articulate negative
response bashing the book review.

I can't expect such a book review to be particularly well-read.

The phenomena are ambiguous claims for a reader better versed in
Western European history, which has (apparently) always been the
generally required curriculum in U.S. formal
education, college and high school.

If you can (at least) skim the nine pages plus the responses, I
solicit your opinion of the phenomena.
