July 09,2007 | TORONTO -- Canada announced plans Monday to increase
its Arctic military presence in an effort to assert sovereignty over
the Northwest Passage -- a potentially oil-rich region the United
States claims is international territory.
end quote
When the crunch comes, will Northeast and Northwest US states and
California secede, relieving themselves of the enormous amount of
welfare money they send to the former Slave States and territories?
According to some climate predictions, the zone for growing wheat will
move north of the border by 2050, making the new entity an economic
powerhouse, given the combination of intellectual power, commerce,
agriculture and energy.
In a more general sense, why should nation-states not be more
flexible, with merger, spinoffs, and the sale of unproductive
segments, just like corporations?

There is a case to be made we are headed for the dissolution of the

lobbyists loose a steady income.
Arkansas is not alone in establishing conditions for its own
independence. It recently paid off its debt to the federal government,
and gov Beebee announced, to wide approval, that the state will take
over the funding of the Arkansas National Guard. From now on, the
equipment and weaponry of the Arkansas National Guard cannot be used
outside the state without his consent. They are not going back to
Iraq.
Employers of illegals have been busted. New investments have been
announced that I note will not be suitable for illegal workers.
Development of the Fayetteville Shale formation has resulted in ads in
all the small town papers for sales of mineral rights, and natural gas
& oil production has dramatically increased.
