Documentary on GMOs . . . long, but worth watching . . .
http://tinyurl.com/4tuzfx
For those with short attention spans, here's the abbreviated version
(contains spoilers):
Big multinational corporation, with the full cooperation and
encouragement of American politicians on both sides of the political
aisle, buys their way into contaminating the world's food supply with
unhealthy seeds for huge profits at the expense of the health of the
people and the sovereignty of farmers, especially poor ones in poor
countries. The ultimate goal: total dependence on Monsanto's
"products" for the world's food supply.
Enjoy, and have a nice day anyway.

In case you missed it, the debate on GM foods is over. 6.6 billion
people voted to eat. By the time we hit 7.7 billion, almost all food
and fiber crops will be GM.

Almost all food is GM now and it's possible we could not have fed
1billion, let alone 6.6, except for that fact.
We have been GMing our food for 1,000's of years via selective
breeding.
The only difference is that modern technology is now making it
possible to speed up the process, and as in the past, with the promise
of higher yields and lower cost.
We should be encouraging and cheering it - and along with that hoping
that Monsanto and other companies involved in the process make huge
fortunes from it, which they richly deserve.
