Mexicans are angry that the United States might protect its own
borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and stay
indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind
these Mexicans. Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when
you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say,
"I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and
swept the floors. I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm
hardworking and honest -- except for when I broke into your house."
According to the Mexicans:
* You are required to let me stay in your house!
* You are required to add me to your family's insurance plan!
* You are required to educate my kids!
* You are required to provide other benefits to me and to my family
(my husband will do all of your yard work because he is also
hardworking and honest, except for that breaking-in part)!
* If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my
friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my
right to be there!

A Mexican response:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable
Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of
Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted
among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the
governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of
these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it,
and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such
principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall
seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
.... err.... and we do mean any form of government.... and let's not
forget that the first step towards securing the current border was
illegal imigration by gringo's into Mexico across the Nanchez trail...
fair is fair... what's good for the goose is now good for the
gander...Or do you intend to ride back across the atlantic and give
the land back to the Indians... in which case I get half as I am half
indian and you get none buddy, none.
