So you dont know either...

Anyone care to have a 'stab'?

Yes, I do know how to read the Encyclopedia Britannica and its various
offshoots.

Lots of references to 'emerged from' and 'evolved'.

"We" look for the origins of life, and yet nobody seems to be able to
identify the day our aphabet was completed.

Perhaps it also arrived on the back of some wondering comet.

There is no exact date, alphabets like languages are organic. The last
significant change seems to have been the replacing of "f" with "s",
in the last 100 years of sa. That was only a printing "font" type
change before that the 26 letters are much the same back to Anglo-
Saxon where the W was a late addition to the Roman alphabet.
