No def'n of constitutional hardware?

Let's wait and see how long it'll take for looneytarians to figger out
it's just election year dicta + a narrowly crafted decision.

It took them 2 weeks to figger out Emerson.

Cahill's word for the week is dicta. He will use it even when he doesn't
quite understand what it means.

Big win for the libbers, Bret. Were you aware that suit was engineered and
argued by Robert Levy of Cato (Tom Palmer, another Cato guy, was one of the
plaintiffs)?

I'm still trying to figure out how a flat-out decision stating that the 2nd
applies to individuals, not militias, and that a govermental body must show
cause before abridging that right is "narrowly crafted".

The core argument against individual gun rights has always been that that
oddly-worded Amendment was intended to apply to state militias (e.g., the
National Guard). That argument is now gone, so it seems.

The Justices considered the amendment as having two parts: one having to
do with the militia and the other with individuals.

If we can digress into personal wishes, then mine is that the National
Guard to be disarmed.
