as far as i know, there is no "absolute free speech" in the world;
though you may clue-moi-in where it is absolute besides hyde park, but
are they allowed to be nude (nudism is sort of political) there?
because, as somebody claims: freedom is relative, not an absolute
i am thinking if fromm were similarly advocating witchcraft, burmese
fascism, north korean communism, radicalism etal, then do ya think he
would be kicked by the ontario teachers board too?

A Hitler, Stalin or Saddam would be perfectly free to censor anything
under _that_ vague interpretation of free speech.

Simply to emphasize the point, a semi literate writer is allowed by
the Franco American Spaghetti Academy to utilize dopey redundancy
Please cite any civilization existing now and/or in world history in
which speech is unlimited, and/or that allows the yelling of a false
"fire" in a crowded theatre
Another rational pragmatic weasel phrase in U.S. law: "clear and
present danger" is utilized to justify the precluding of speech and
other rights

Oh so now he's gone from "absolute" to "unlimited".
In a free, therefore moral society, who yells what and when in a
picture theater is left up to the theater owner.

Liberating America From Israel
by Paul Findley
Nine-eleven would not have occurred if the U.S. government had refused
to help Israel humiliate and destroy Palestinian society. Few express
this conclusion publicly, but many believe it is the truth. I believe
the catastrophe could have been prevented if any U.S. president during
the past 35 years had had the courage and wisdom to suspend all U.S.
aid until Israel withdrew from the Arab land seized in the 1967
Arab-Israeli war.
The U.S. lobby for Israel is powerful and intimidating, but any
determined president-even President Bush this very day-could prevail
and win overwhelming public support for the suspension of aid by
laying these facts before the American people:

In the context of rights, "absolute" is not equivalent to "unlimited".
That rights are absolute, i.e. cannot be breached, is not the same as
saying that they are unlimited. One doesn't have the right to do
*anything* - and thus in the process violating the rights of others.
Having rights absolutely does not mean - nor does it presuppose or
require - that one has the right to violate the rights of others.
