Philosophically speaking; If the earth and its inhabitants are
annihilated and the only living thing is once again bacteria, does
this event restart history? Or does the history that now exists
become some kind of former history?
Let me show you how this works. Most people believe that huge
reptiles once roamed planet earth. But in the bible, there is no
mention of dinosaurs. Why? Because their history became history and
the later history started history over.
People in biblical times did not know about dinosaurs because there
was no evidence to observe. Therefore, to these people the history of
the dinosaur was history, meaning lost forever.
Now, say there was advanced civilizations of aliens on earth a million
years ago. They decided to leave the planet and they decided not to
leave anything behind to show future beings that they were here. The
aliens are history but not part of human history.
